Car of the Week: Martin Lambert's '75 Chevy Monza

Welcome to the BTE Racing Car of the Week series, where we feature BTE customers and fans, and the cars (and trucks) they love to drive and race. Today, it’s all about Martin Lambert in Everett, WA and his 1975 Chevy Monza

How did you get into drag racing?
I started with a mini tub and adding a mild 350, then wondering how fast it was.

When and where was your first race? 
1994 at Seattle International Raceway (Pacific Raceways) in Washington state

What model/year do you race now? 
1975 Chevy Monza that I've owned since 1984

Does your car have a nickname? 
Taz


What's under the hood? 
415 dart block SBC approx 680 hp/ 595 torque

Why do you use BTE? 
Don't yet, but interested in a torque convertor or have you re-build the two I have.

Someone you look up to in racing? 
Wally Parks for initiating organized drag racing.

If money were no object, what would you drive? 
Pro stock

What is your pre-race ritual (if you have one)? 
Before every pass I say a prayer to keep everyone safe, don't break anything and to cut a good light.
